  1. Great info! I have a new Jenn Air that I feel is not getting up to temp. I used my square Dot to calibrate and I was correct. It is not off as much as I suspected but enough to mess up that delicate butter based Christmas baking! Thanks for the video. PS since I started using my instant read thermometer my cakes and breads have been successful.

    1. Pit the air probe in the included rack clip and put the clip in your oven with the rack clip spanning between two slats in your oven rack. If the slats in your oven rack are too far apart, one option is to make a ball of foil around the probe where it transitions to the cord and wedge that foil ball between the slats. Just make sure the top of the probe is well exposed.

    1. Yes! After it’s fully preheated, reset the min/max function and let your oven run for 15-25 minuted, then look at the min/max, which should be your oven’s high peak and low trough. Take the average of those two numbers, and you’ve got it.
