It’s the gift that keeps on giving…
Danny and Rhonda Titus sport a rockin’ yellow Thermapen at all their BBQ competitions and every time they fire up the smoker. The grill itself was a Father’s Day present from Danny and Rhonda’s two sons, Charles and James, who have since reaped the benefits of that gift many times over (they are the couple’s official taste testers).
The Titus family first got interested in competitive BBQ when they attended a local BBQ event on a whim. Next came a trip to the internationally renowned Memphis in May BBQ festival in Tennessee—the biggie—and soon after, Roadtoad’s Smoke’n’BBQ was born.
They are still working hard to build a name for themselves but in 2010, Rhonda counted 1st Place Chicken honors at the TBIPAC BBQ Blast among her trophies. They have also won 1st Place Pork, 2nd Place Brisket and 2nd Overall at the Freestate Festival of Florien, LA.
The Titus family is determined to make more of a splash in 2011 and their bright yellow Thermapen is a big part of their plans. Says Danny…
