How a Thermapen Is Made

December 10, 2010 By tim

Each Thermapen is hand crafted in Worthing, England. Come on a mini-tour as our supplier, Electronic Temperature Instruments, Ltd., explains the assembly process. This is not a massive consumer products plant in the Far East. At this family-owned factory, we make only commercial-quality instruments for professional markets. When you buy a Thermapen for home, you’re getting the same thermometer used by top chefs.

Wouldn’t you know it! After not finding the “How a Thermapen is Made” webpage, I decided to call ThermoWorks for assistance. I had just received my, first-ever, ThermaPen and wanted to register “my new baby”, as well as observe how it was built. Back at the home office, Kevin picked-up the phone and assured me my ThermaPen was indeed already registered. Rest assured, should I ever have the need for additional customer service, Momma knows which puppy I got! And I was just tickled-pink when I saw the assembly video: My baby got whelped from the same litter as the video shows…they’re both blue! Thanx ThermoWorks for creating this great product! And more thanx again, to Electronic Temperature Instruments, Ltd. for making the ThermaPen…better than anybody else!
